01/12/2020 – Noordwijk – The Netherlands
On the 9th, 10th, and 11th of November, Sapienza Consulting attended the Word Satellite Business Week Virtual Edition conference organised by Euroconsult.
The event was run online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and provided the global satellite communications and information sectors with a dedicated virtual platform to access, connect, and hear from key decision-makers.
The pandemic itself was a central topic that was discussed during the event. Special focus was given to how the satellite industry is navigating the current crisis through mitigating the effects of lockdowns and building resilience through digital transformation and reinforcing its relationship with important suppliers. The effect of the pandemic on the future of Earth observation and telecommunications was also discussed.
Other topics that were touched upon include the investment strategies of key players from both the aviation and the space sectors, the role of satellites in relation to the Internet of Things, as well as the future directions and plans of the market in relation to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities. A shift towards a data-centric approach was also illuminated.
Sapienza Consulting was represented at the event by our Head of Business Development, Sales and Marketing Frederique Berenbach, our Marketing Project Manager Andrea Magyar, and our Copywriter & Content Creator Maria-Eirini Psaltidi.
The event was a great opportunity for Sapienza Consulting not only in terms of staying on top of the latest changes of the highly dynamic satellite market but also in terms of gaining a better understanding of the current business development landscape in order to continue providing our services to our current and prospective clients.
Frederique Berenbach said:
We are in an era during which satellites have never been more accessible. With government, agency, and commercial industry all playing their integral role in shaping the current ecosystem, a clear focus on an integrated approach that combines different technologies with the scope of connectivity optimisation is evident. We are fascinated by what is to come, and we will continue striving to provide our products and services to the satellite market in the best way possible.
We are looking forward to next year’s Word Satellite Business Week event in Paris, which we are hoping to be able to attend physically this time.
