21/09/2020 – Noordwijk – The Netherlands
On the 16th and 17th of September 2020, we had the pleasure of attending the first-ever online Industry Space Days (ISD) event organised by the European Space Agency (ESA). Due to the current coronavirus outbreak, this year the event has moved from ESA/ESTEC site to a virtual environment.
The event consisted of three parts, with the first one focusing on presentations by ESA, industry, and industry associations, the second one on ESA presentations and workshops about business opportunities and future activities, and the third one on business-to-business meetings (B2B) via an online platform, for the industry to establish new connections and create common ground for future collaboration opportunities.
Sapienza Consulting was represented at the event by our Commercial team: ECLIPSE Suite Account Manager Andrew Coe, our Head of NewSpace & Satcom Recruitment Ian Stammers, our SDS-Jobs Account Manager Tara Poh, and Director of Aerospace at TP Group Sapienza France Paul Vincent.
Amongst the topics discussed during the conference were the impact of COVID-19 on the space and satellite industries, future investments, innovation opportunities, science missions, and planning to tackle what is coming ahead.
For Sapienza Consulting attending the event was a great opportunity for staying connected with the European space community and getting updated on the latest information and news, but, more than that, we are also very happy for having had two highly productive days full of B2B meetings with great companies that have generated positive leads.
Industry Space Days 2021 has already been announced to be happening on the 8th and 9th of September 2021, and we are not only eager about attending it but also hopeful that we can welcome you at our stand and get to speak to you in person.
Until then, we are looking forward to following up on the fruitful conversations we have had this year and are confident on establishing further mutually beneficial partnerships with the key industry players that we had the chance of connecting with.
