Our Managing Director, Andrea Bennetti, attended the 12th European Space Conference on the 21st and 22nd of January held at the Egmont Palace in Brussels, Belgium.
The conference’s focus was on global ambitions of Growth, Climate, Security & Defence. It provided a platform for debate on what has been done, the future of European space policy, its objectives, its programmes and missions, and addressed the 10 most pressing issues of this new decade, ranging from environmental policies and cyber security to innovative NewSpace initiatives and the future of connectivity.
This year’s event hosted over 1200 attendees including 60 high-calibre speakers from industry and the different European Institutes and provided a great place to network with like-minded people.
Andrea Bennetti commented:
It was a very exciting event to attend to. I was thrilled to learn more about the vision for the new decade and the new challenges that the European Space sector is facing. The benefits that space brings to Europe are undeniable. At Sapienza we hope to collaborate on many new innovation initiatives in the Space, Defence, and Security sectors in this coming period as this is the heart of our business.”
