17/10/2019 – Noordwijk – The Netherlands
On the 24th-26th of September 2019, our team attended the UK Space Conference 2019. The biennial event, which is one of the most important and influential events in the space industry, took place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom.
With the main message ‘Inspire, innovate, grow’, the flagship conference brought together the space community for the fifth time. The event programme was extensive and diverse and included presentations on an abundance of topics including ‘the future of commercialisation of space’ and ‘how to encourage the young generation to enter STEM fields’, as well as discussions around the latest satellite innovation advancements.
Not only it was an excellent chance for our team to attend thought-provoking sessions and discussions, but we were also very excited to network with many large and small organisations, researchers, and thought leaders in the space industry. This year our team attending was the largest one yet and consisted of six of our colleagues from different Sapienza departments, as well as two colleagues from our parent company TP Group plc. In addition, being a UK Space Conference gold sponsor allowed for a great placement and visibility for our stand, which was also the largest one throughout the history of our attendance.
The conference couldn’t have offered a better opportunity for Sapienza to introduce and present its diverse business solutions, alongside launching its latest innovative job platform Space Defence Security Jobs (also known as SDS–Jobs). Sapienza’s new venture was very well received by all the UK Space Conference attendees that had the chance to get introduced to it by our team and generated very positive comments and remarks. Having said that, we are more than excited to foster some great connections with organisations in the space sector that could benefit from our new project. You can read more about the unique benefits and innovative business model of the platform here.
