28/11/2022 – Noordwijk – The Netherlands
On the 15, 16, and 17 of November 2022, our joint Serco and Sapienza teams attended the Space Tech Expo Europe 2022 event held in Bremen, Germany.
Now that Sapienza has become a Serco company, we had the chance to join forces for the first time and share the stand under the Serco name. Sapienza’s brand is in the process of being integrated into Serco Europe, and this event was the first stepping-stone to presenting our united commercial teams and bringing the best of both worlds to the Expo.
Sapienza – a Serco company was represented by our ECLIPSE Software Suite team, consisting of our Space Account Manager Ross Irvine, our Sales Executive for Digital Solutions Mike Dubach, and our Product Marketing Manager Desmond Gardeslen as well as our Space Talent Acquisition Specialist, Hristina Gelevska, representing Recruitment. The team was completed with our Serco colleagues, Senior Contract Manager Islam Alizada, Real-Time Operations Service Manager, Darrall Barrowman, and Contract Manager Henry Bouchier.
Space Tech Expo Europe is Europe’s largest B2B event for the space industry and was attended by more than 5000 professionals, representing more than 500 companies, and hosted 3 conferences focusing on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities presented by technical-level experts from across the supply chain.
Attending the Space Tech Expo Europe gave as a great chance to connect with like-minded people from the space whole European space industry. We were happy to see great interest for our ECLIPSE Suite and ONDA software solutions, space career offerings and managed/recruitment services at our stand.
Our Space Account Manager, Ross Irvine, said:
It was great to connect with many of our customers and discuss growth plans for the future, as well as prospective clients. I was especially pleased to see so many National Space Agencies in attendance at the event, as it was particularly interesting to hear their plans for increasing R&D and the overall recognition of the benefits of international cooperation. It is becoming apparent that the European space market is expanding rapidly, and we are very happy to be able to be in a position to help professionals and organisations navigate this growth.”
All in all, it was an inspiring event filled with people who shared visions and a passion for space and space technology, and it was great to connect with them and discuss how we can support them with our services.
