On Wednesday 23 November our two ECLIPSE Implementation Consultants Ross Irvine and Dennis Roshal attended the Open Source CubeSat Workshop 2017 at the European Space Operations Center (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany.
The event brought together academia, research institutes, companies, and individuals that work on CubeSat projects within the space industry. The focus of this year’s workshop is on mission operations and how the open source approach applied to space and ground segment might impact this important area.
On the first day, participants received a guided tour of the facilities and explored the famous launch control room. The next day Dennis Roshal, representing Sapienza Consulting, had an opportunity to give a pitch talk at the event. The focus of the pitch was to reach out to academia led CubeSat projects and to present the benefits of the ECLIPSE suite.
Our Consultants said:
We are glad to have attended this event and to have made such interesting connections. CubeSat programs are developing fast and are crucial to the growth of our industry. We will be surely attending more CubeSat related events in the future.
Sapienza is actively seeking more Universities taking part in CubeSat projects to use the ECLIPSE software. If you are involved in a project and would like to learn more, do not hesitate to contact us by email at email@example.com.
